What is GOURMET ON GORE?

Gourmet on Gore is an open-air tasting of food, wine, beer and spirits. The event will take up residence in the heart of Vail Village over the busy Labor Day Weekend. This popular event will pair world-class wines, beers and spirits with the best food from throughout the Vail Valley.

What can I expect from the event?

Winemakers and sommeliers will be on hand to discuss their wine selections and educate the public on the tasting process.

Vail Valley restaurants will offer specialty dishes, in taste-size portions, which will then be paired with the wide assortment of wine, beer and spirits being poured.

Is there a cost to enjoy GOURMET ON GORE festivities?

Gourmet on Gore is free admission to the public.“Gourmet Dollars ” will be available the day of the event for purchase. These “Dollars” will allow attendees to taste a medley of wines, beers, spirits and food items in sample sizes. All items will be affordably priced.

There is an additional charge for the Connoisseur's Trail Art Walk taking place on Friday, September 4th from 5-7:30pm. Tickets may be purchased by calling 970.476.6600

Live music will be featured throughout the day. There is no cost to enjoy the toe-tapping tunes.

When and where will GOURMET ON GORE take place?

Gourmet on Gore will be held Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Vail Village.

Attendees can stroll the venue and enjoy the sounds of Jazz … LIVE and Free of Cost!

Do I need to purchase tickets?

The Gourmet on Gore public tastings require no admision charge. Tickets are required for the Connoisseur's Trail Art Walk taking place on Friday, September 4th from 5-7:30pm. Tickets may be purchased by calling 970.476.6600

Is there an age requirement?

All ages are welcome to enjoy the festivities although you must be 21 and older to enjoy the alcoholic beverages being offered at Gourmet on Gore.

Where do I park?

You are highly encouraged to park free in the Vail Village parking structure on the South Frontage Road. Parking is also available at Ford Park, about 1/4 mile East of Vail Village. The Ford Park lots are very small and will fill quickly. The Town of Vail also has an extensive public bus system. Please use it wisely and avoid drinking and driving at all costs. Vail PD, the Eagle County Sheriff, and the Colorado State Patrol have zero tolerance and will enforce DUI laws to the fullest! Street parking is not permitted until all public parking facilities are completely full.
